2008 Copat SpA obtained the certification for its “Management System of Health, Safety and Personnel” in compliance with the OHSAS 18001 norm. This norm requires continuous respect of laws and regulations regarding health, safety and hygiene in the workplace. Copat is making a commitment through OHSAS 18001 to progressively reduce health and safety risks for personnel by means of modern infrastructures, technologically advanced machinery, continuous education and involvement of all staff. |

2007 Copat SpA is the first Italian furniture manufacturer to be EMAS registered. EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) is the European Community regulation defined in 2001 concerning the voluntary compliance of a company or public body to a community system of ecological management and auditing. For Copat SpA, introducing and maintaining the Environmental Management System in compliance with the EMAS regulation requirements has meant reorganising and conducting its activities so as to minimise, by means of gradual but continuous efforts in the course of time, its impact on the environment. Furthermore, it has also allowed the Company to publicly announce its “performances” by means of an Environmental Declaration that contains all the enviromental information, as well as forecasts for short – medium term improvements. |
